Yesterday Infinity Ward, one of the developers of Call of Duty game series, on the game's page in Istagram posted a cryptic message "Survive the #Extinction" with the image of someone’s skull that doens’t look like a human one. In the same tweet the developers published a short video that hints (according to many gamers) at a new game mode, in which they will have to kill a lot of aliens.
This assumption can be also confirmed by the fact that the new screenshots of this new mode have appeared in the network. Thus, one of the Twitter users with nickname "@SMTKZ", who already has an early copy of CoD: Ghosts, has published a number of screenshots of Call of Duty: Ghosts, which demonstrate some moments of the new Extinction mode. Taking into consideration the image of an alien in a short developers’ video and the sound effects that accompany it, we can assume that these CoD: Ghosts screenshots are credible. In addition, this user has also reported that new Call of Duty: Ghosts mode will be unlocked when the first five missions of the game are completed. If this rumor is true or not, it’s up to you to decide, but while we are waiting for an official statement from the game’s publisher or its developer, we are inviting you to look at Exctinction mode’s screenshots that have been leaked in the network.
UPD: The developers have also presented today an official video of new Call of Duty mode - Extension - 1-4 player cooperative game mode that features a unique blend of survival action, FPS base defense, scavenging and class leveling.
