Thus, the producer of The Sims 4 game - Grant Rodiek - in his interview with PCGamesN, said that the sims will change physically during the game and it will directly depend on their way of life. If, for example, they will eat a lot and move a little, then gain the extra weight of which is not so easy to get rid of. In this case, The Sims 4 characters, as we, will worry about their overweight, feel depressed and dissatisfied with their appearance (which is possible thanks to SmartSim technology). But they will always be able to fix it by taking the right steps (it's always up to you to decide what is right and what’s not). According to the producer, they do not want to tell you or show how to live your sim’s life, they want only to give us all necessary tools that will help in the creation of our sim’s life story.
Although this statement sounds a bit vague, though it can be assumed that new SmartSim should have much more emotions and reactions, not only about sims' body shape, but even about the behaviors and traits of other game’s characters.
