After the global interactive demonstration of the next instalment in The Witcher action-RPG series, about which we told you yesterday, lots of new thrilling information about the future project started appearing online. Thus, the latest The Witcher 3 news concern some gameplay details as well as the features of the game’s versions on PC, PS4 and Xbox One. But let’s start in order.
So, during the live broadcast on Twitch, the representatives of CD Projekt RED have shared one interesting detail. According to them, at the beginning of the game, the main hero - Geralt - will contact with some mysterious character (the name hasn’t been mentioned), who will tell or, to be more exact, sing about the witcher’s past adventures. The player will have an ability to make some changes in the story that is told by this secret hero. It will let them decide how the choice, which was made in the previous parts of the franchise, will influence on the new instalment. First of all, such an option will help the newbies, who are not familiar to the whole series, built the Geralt’s past at their taste and preferences.
The next The Witcher 3 news concerns the action-RPG’s performance on the various platforms. During the same interactive demonstration, the journalists of a German gaming portal have stated that currently the project’s PS4 version is superior to the Xbox One and PC ones by graphics, though some textures look clearer on the computer. Besides, on the Sony’s console, the project runs in 1080p resolution, but at 30fps. As for Xbox One, the game also works at 30fps here, but in 900p. The textures also contain more blur. According to CD Projekt RED, the last mentioned version of the future action-RPG is still in the stage of polishing, so any loud statements shouldn’t be made now.
The further The Witcher 3 news include the latest information about the game’s add-ons. As you remember, in November, the developers stated that all planned 16 DLCs will be absolutely free to download. Recently, the founder of CD Projekt RED - Marcin Iwinski - has focused on this moment once more.
“We aren't giving out huge stuff, we aren't giving tens of hours of storyline here; we are giving small bits of pieces that don't cost a lot. And I think people would feel better about our game, and so, they will enjoy the adventure even more”, - he has said.
Iwinski has also added that probably such an approach will decrease the pirating: “And maybe the ones who thought about pirating would not pirate it. Maybe the ones who wanted to trade it back and get something else will keep it on the shelf. That'd be great, I would like this to happen and if not that's fine as well. I hope they'll have fun”.
And in conclusion, we’d like to show you the new The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt gameplay video, which the developers published yesterday:
