Yesterday, The Game Awards — an annual video game ceremony — was held in Los Angeles. As it was promised before, the conference introduced us to several new games and add-ons. If you’ve missed this event, here are some highlights.
So let’s start from the awards themselves. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt became the most honored project during the yesterday’s show. This game won Game of the Year and Best RPG awards, while the studio behind it — CD Projekt RED — became the Developer of the Year. Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain, Mortal Kombat X and Rocket League got Best Action-Adventure, Best Fighting Game and Best Sports/Racing awards respectively. Splatoon — Nintendo game for Wii U — was named as the Best Multiplayer Game and Best Shooter. And finally, Life is Strange became the Game for Change (most social project) and CS:GO — the best eSports discipline.

Far Cry Primal
The hype around the next instalment in this popular series grows bigger and bigger, and it was one of the most anticipated projects during the yesterday’s show. Ubisoft didn’t disappoint us and revealed the fantastic trailer about the beasts that are going to appear in the upcoming game, long video with an actual gameplay and beautiful screenshots. Batman: Telltale Games Series
Telltale announced its new project, and this time we’re going to explore eerie and beautiful Gotham. Unfortunately, there are no details about the upcoming adventure, but the first teaser looks cool:
Mortal Kombat X: Kombat Pack 2
Award-winning fighting game — Mortal Kombat X — will get a pack of characters in 2016. It will include not only traditional heroes but also Alien from the franchise with the same name and the villain from The Texas Chainsaw Massacre movie. Here’s the video that shows these characters in action:
Quantum Break
The next trailer is devoted to the Xbox One exclusive — Quantum Break. The game should have been released a long time ago, but the developers have postponed its launch once again. According to the latest information, Quantum Break will hit the stores in spring. Hope it’ll be worth waiting.
The Walking Dead The Game: Michonne
One more project from Telltale presented during The Game Awards is the next chapter in famous The Walking Dead series. The video below introduces us to the new female character and says that not everyone deserves saving. Looks good!
Rocket League
Another one award-winning game — Rocket League — will be ported to Xbox One as it was announced yesterday. According to the video below, new vehicles will appear in a console version that is coming in February, 2016.
Baba Yaga: Rise of the Tomb Raider DLC
The adventures of Lara Croft will also get a new chapter. The developers presented a new video that shows more details of the upcoming Rise of the Tomb Raider DLC. It promises us hours of new gameplay and extremely frightening atmosphere.
Where the Water Tastes Like Wine
The last game in our list is devoted to the beautiful indie project — Where the Water Tastes Like Wine. The developers have presented its trailer with an awesome soundtrack and cute graphics. More details are coming soon.
