One of the most anticipated shooters with a really big name - Star Wars: Battlefront - was announced during the E3 expo, but after that day new information about it hasn't appeared in the network. Yesterday EA representatives opened the veil of mystery and presented several interesting facts about this game.
As we already know Star Wars: Battlefront game is being developed by DICE studio and it will be a rebirth of the famous series. DICE is known as the developer of the Battlefield series, and yesterday EA told that the release dates of these two games will alternate. It means that there will be more than one Star Wars: Battlefront game (not surprisingly for EA), and that next year, when this shooter will be released, there will be no Battlefield game, while the next instalment in the Battlefield series is coming in 2015.
Also the developers mentioned that they were very glad to get positive responses from fans after their short game's teaser showed at the E3 expo and hinted that the series will have "a third-person component". This announcement probably means that you will be able to switch between first and third-person perspectives as it was in the previous Star Wars games. By the way, Star Wars: Battlefront game is being developed on the basis of Frostbite 3 engine.
