SEGA has released a new promo Total War: Rome 2 trailer, which revealed some game's plot details. Also, you can see the real historical battles, recreated according to the chronicles of that time in the video.

The Battle of the Teutoburg Forest is well known because it initiated a mass uprising in all the provinces of Rome. Under the command of Arminius, who has been born in Germany but was able to get the Empire citizenship, united Germanic tribes defeated three legions of soldiers under the command of Quinctilius Varus. After this defeat, the emperor Augustus was in depression for several months, avoided any contacts and kept repeating a phrase that later became widely known:

"Quinctilius Varus, give me back my legions!"
