Yesterday, Ubisoft company officially announced ZombiU on PC and current-gen consoles. Let us remind you that the project’s original version was launched on Nintendo’s Wii U at the end of 2012 as an exclusive.
As the studio’s representatives reported, the release of ZombiU on PC, PS4 and Xbox One is scheduled for August 18th, 2015. The remastered versions of the game will be titled just Zombi. They will be available only for digital download. “The nail-biting survival experience has been optimized for PlayStation 4 system, Xbox One and Windows PC, using the power of the latest generation of hardware to bring gamers to a new level of horror”, - Ubisoft wrote in its press release.
Unfortunately, ZombiU on PC and consoles won’t include the online multiplayer mode. However, the future project will contain some vast technical improvements (faster loading time, changes in the control system) and upgraded visual effects. The minimap and the backpack will be displayed on the main screen. Besides, the developers will add two new types of melee weapon - a shovel and a nail bat.
By the way, the versions of ZombiU on PC, PS4 and Xbox One are being ported by the Australian studio - Straight Right. Earlier, it worked on Mass Effect 3 for Wii U.
