The Interstellar movie, the latest photos of which we showed you last week, has got some new interesting information and several videos, which are intended to promote the upcoming film on TV. Let us remind you that the project will hit the big screens on November 7th.

As you remember, in the last news, Matthew McConaughey and Anne Hathaway - the actors who perform the main roles in the future motion picture - shared their opinions about it. This time, we’ll find out what inspired Christopher Nolan - the film’s director - on its creation. In one of his recent interviews, he has mentioned that the Interstellar movie is being made under the influence of the iconic blockbusters, many of which are the Steven Spielberg’s ones. “I do liken it to the blockbusters I grew up with as a kid. A lot of them by Spielberg. I don’t like talking about Spielberg too much because he was the director on the project before me and I don’t want to keep coming back to that, but the truth is, there’s a great spirit to films like Close Encounters of the Third Kind and Jaws that I really wanted to try and capture, because I haven’t seen it in a very long time”, - Nolan has said.

But besides the above mentioned projects, there’s another one, which inspired the director the most. It’s a drama titled The Right Stuff (1983). This motion picture tells about the astronauts and their participation in the experimental spaceflights. “That’s a film that not enough people have seen on the big screen. It’s an almost perfectly made film. It’s one of the great American movies and people don’t quite realise how great it is - probably because it’s four hours long!” - Nolan has stated.

By the way, the Interstellar movie will become the longest Nolan’s film. It will last about three hours.

And finally, we offer you to appraise several short Interstellar TV trailers:

It’s worth mentioning that the published Interstellar TV trailers demonstrate some new footage, which has never been presented before even in the project’s official videos.
