As you know, the team Relic Entertainment has been creating Company of Heroes 2 for almost a year, but unfortunately the closed game’s beta will begin only tomorrow because the change of the ownership and some other factors made a huge delay.
The fact is that after the official THQ bankruptcy, the whole Company of Heroes franchise has been bought by Sega during the auction on the 23 - 24 January, 2013.The first stage of this testing will be open only to the users that made the game’s pre-order, and alpha testers and other privileged players will get access after a week.
This time the developers will present six new multiplayer maps for 1 vs. 1, 2 vs. 2, 3 vs. 3 and 4 vs. 4 battles, and up to 40 levels of progression and different equipment for generals. Greg Wilson, Producer of Company of Heroes 2, said,
“We are excited to be able to launch the closed beta for Company of Heroes 2. We invite our fans to help us test and balance the game prior to launch, as well as see the changes we’ve already made since the Alpha test in December.”
Company of Heroes 2 beta release is scheduled for April 2, and the final release of the game will be on June 2. You can learn more details by yourself from the alpha gameplay video below.
