Recently, 2K Games company has announced the next Sid Meier's Civilization: Beyond Earth update. The studio’s representatives have stated that, besides the numerous bug fixes and improvements, the upcoming patch will bring two major changes to the game. According to the official information, the future Sid Meier's Civilization: Beyond Earth update will add the connectivity with another project in the series - Starships. The last one is a standalone instalment, which is set in the Beyond Earth universe. The players will have to control a fleet of the spaceships, explore the undiscovered territories and prevent the enemy attacks.The release of Starships is planned for the end of March 2015 on PC, Mac and iOS.The connection between two games will be realized in a special my2K account. Once the player logs into the one of the mentioned instalments, he can create a special linkage, which allows exchanging the information in the projects. For the first time, the my2K account will be available only in Beyond Earth and Starships, however, further, it will cover some other parts of the series.
The second key feature of the upcoming Sid Meier's Civilization: Beyond update is the changes in both the game’s balance and the Wonders system particularly. The developers say that such a decision was made by the numerous requests from the players. Besides, the system of the trade routes will also be modified a bit. Now, the new paths will open depending on the amount of population in the cities. Also, the “auto-renew route” will be added.
In addition to all the listed above content, the announced Sid Meier's Civilization: Beyond update will fix some bugs and bring the improvements, adjust the work of AI objects as well as make the interface more user-friendly.
