Recently, the new interesting Resident Evil: Revelations 2 details have appeared online. One of the journalists has published some facts about the next part in the survival horror series and its screenshots. As it has turned out, the information has been taken from the Gamesmaster Magazine issue, which will be out only in November.
According to this information, the Resident Evil: Revelations 2 game will be set between the events of Resident Evil 5 and 6. As it was reported earlier, we won’t see the familiar characters as protagonists. Instead, the gamers will play as Claire Redfield - the younger sister of Chris - and Moira Burton - the Barry Burton’s daughter. The last one will be more supportive character as long as Claire will focus on the battles with enemies.
The Resident Evil: Revelations 2 game will start from the moment, when two heroines wake up in the abandoned prison on an island and find themselves kidnapped.
The girls’ main foes will be some monsters called The Afflicted. "They may look like zombies, but are in fact something quite different", - Michiteru Okabe - the project’s producer - has said. These creatures are very fast and are able to damage hard. The Resident Evil: Revelations 2 game will include not only a single campaign but also a cooperative mode. According to Okabe, the gameplay will be more oriented on a survival horror genre and less on an action. It’s going to return the series to its roots. Besides that, Michiteru has also stated that during the work on the new project, Capcom has taken into account the feedbacks from the franchise’s fans.
Also, it has been reported that the Resident Evil: Revelations 2 game will run at 1080p and 60fps on PC and next-gen consoles.
