Some time ago, we told you about the rumors concerning the creation of a Resident Evil: Revelations sequel. Then, the project’s box art and first screenshot were discovered, however the developer of the franchise commented such a situation very blurry.
And now, at the Sony’s press conference, the Capcom’s producer - Masachika Kawata - has officially announced that the Resident Evil: Revelations 2 game is being in development for the current moment. The release date of the new survival horror in Japan is scheduled for early 2015. When exactly the next part in the series will be available in North America and Europe is still unknown. Firstly, the Resident Evil: Revelations 2 game will be launched for PS4, and later it will be ported to other platforms. Some sources say that the project will also hit PC, PS3, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
According to Kawata, the Resident Evil: Revelations 2 game will present the totally new characters. Thus, we won’t see Jill Valentine and Chris Redfield as protagonists any more. Also, the producer has said that the project’s setting and time period will differ from the previous part’s ones. No other details have been revealed, but Kawata has shared a short teaser trailer of the next instalment:
But the Resident Evil: Revelations 2 game is not all, what Capcom studio has prepared for its fans. Recently, the first Resident Evil HD Remaster trailer and some new screenshots of the upcoming remake have been presented.
The latest Resident Evil HD Remaster trailer demonstrate the game’s protagonists who are fighting against the bloodthirsty terrifying zombies and monsters. And on the new images, you can see not only Jill and Chris, but also other characters of the future survival horror.
