During couple of last weeks, BioWare studio published several teaser videos of its new creation, and lots rumors and guesses about it appeared in the network. And finally, yesterday, at gamescom, the company revealed the secret and presented the project, which will be launched on PC in late 2015.
According to the BioWare’s executive producer - Jeff Hickman, - Shadow Realms game will be an online multiplayer, the events of which are set in two locations at a time - on Earth and in the magical kingdom called Embra. Thus, the setting will combine the elements of both modern and supernatural worlds.
In Shadow Realms game, four players will unite in order to fight against one enemy - a Shadowlord, - who has the great power to manipulate the universe. The gamers will choose their characters from six classes: Assassin, Warrior, Cleric, Warlock, Wizard and Ranger. But inspite of the side which they will choose (good or evil), the players will collect the points and earn XP anyway.
It has also became known that Shadow Realms game will consist of several episodes, “like the great TV series”.
"It is a game that finally fulfills that fantasy of a never-ending RPG where the players meet up regularly to keep their epic adventures going for as long as they want. All the enemies, traps and challenges are squarely in the hands of another player, who controls them just like a Dungeon Master. The monsters and villains are smart and unpredictable, making every battle a test of strategy and power. Best of all, everyone gets to enjoy a story that plays out like their favorite TV series, but where they decide the fates of its world and characters”, - James Ohlen - the BioWare’s creative director has stressed.In addition to all of the mentioned above information, the studio has presented the new trailer, the first concept arts and screenshots of the future MMORPG:
