At the end of November, From Software and Namco Bandai studios announced both Dark Souls 2 on PS4 and Xbox One and the new patch 1.10 with the various additions for the PC and last-gen versions of this action-RPG. The release date of the next-gen project is planned on April 7th, 2015. Until recently, there was little information known concerning the changes, which will be implemented to the future game. And the other day, its producer - Yui Tanimura - revealed more details in his interview to one of the portals.
Thus, according to Tanimura, the Dark Souls 2: Scholar of the First Sin game won’t include any new locations, however, it will please both the experienced players and the newbies with some hard challenges and unexpected twists of the plot. “In terms of new content, there are no additional maps, no. But the story will be new and expanded and fresh, even for the players who have played through seven or eight times”, - he has said.
Also, the Dark Souls 2: Scholar of the First Sin game will show the enemies, which haven’t been represented in the action-RPG before, and the new non-playable character. By the way, the last one will have an important role, and his engagement with the main character will make the story more interesting and thrilling. Unfortunately, the developers haven’t told any more information about this update in order to keep the intrigue. “This NPC will lead the player on a new path, that’s as much as I can say”, - Tanimura has stated.
As it was mentioned before, the versions of Dark Souls 2 on PS4 and Xbox One will contain lots of improvements in graphics, texture resolution, framerate, shadows, sounds. Moreover, some additional effects will be brought to the project. It’s worth saying that all the made innovations, including the various modifications of weapon and equipment as well as the long list of the changes in the game’s balance and Matchmaking mode, are based on the feedbacks from the players.
