DreamWorks Animation studio has reported that the How to Train Your Dragon 3 animated movie will hit the big screens only in 2017. The company has postponed the project’s release a year later. Let us remind you that firstly the launch date was scheduled for June 17th, 2016. But it clashed with the release date of another cartoon - the Finding Nemo sequel. Then, the studio set the premiere for June 9th, but apparently, such a date didn’t satisfied the creators also. Anyway, DreamWorks Animation hasn’t specified the reason why we won’t see the How to Train Your Dragon 3 animated movie in the cinemas in 2016.
According to the official information, the same team, which worked on two previous parts, will create the future cartoon. Dean De Blois will become the project’s writer and director and Bonnie Arnold will be its producer. Also, the same cast, including America Ferrera, Jay Baruchel and Cate Blanchett, will voice the characters.
And while we’re anticipating some fresh information concerning the How to Train Your Dragon 3 animated movie, the rumors about the fourth part of the media franchise have started appearing online. But it’s still unknown what became the reason for them to come up.
The second instalment of the trilogy was launched this June. According to the DreamWorks’ statistics, on September 1st the project crossed the mark of $600.000 and became the highest-grossing animated film of the year.
