Yesterday, Apple officially announced its next iPhone, or to be more exact, even two of them. iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus have much bigger displays than the predecessors, are more powerful and are even better for gaming. To prove this fact, the company showed a MOBA, developed for the new devices.
Two new iPhones have 4.7" and 5.5" displays, more powerful hardware and fast 64-bit processor. The new CPU chip was created with visual effects in mind, and so it will allow increasing the graphics performance by 50%. Also, now the devices will work 25% faster than before. As for the screen, iPhone 6 will get 1334 x 750 display, while iPhone Plus will run games and applications in Full HD - 1920 x 1080.
Apple believes that the specs of new iPhones are perfect for mobile gaming. Moreover, now the developers will get a perfect tool called Metal. It will allow getting the full control of the hardware while coding, which will help the developers organize the best resource sharing.
Some game developers have already evaluated the new devices and expressed the willingness to work on new games for iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. EA, Square Enix, CD Projekt RED, Ubisoft, Disney and Rovio are among them. And during the presentation, Super Evil Megacorp showed the first game, developed for the new generation of iPhones. It is MOBA called Vainglory. As you can see on the screenshot below, its graphics is really amazing.
